Hospitality Team Member

If you have a strong sense of teamwork and take pride in helping others, this may be the job for you! We are seeking a full-time employee to join our hospitality team as a cook. Reporting to the Manager of Facility Services, this position will provide meal preparation services to the Christian Science nursing program at Peace Haven. Although Christian Science church membership is not a requirement of this position, we are looking for individuals who will contribute to a mental atmosphere that is positive, supportive, and expectant of healing. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work with others and to contribute to a cheerful and positive work environment; they will be patient, orderly, punctual, dependable, diligent, and flexible in adapting to the changing needs of the department.

Position Requirements Include:        

• Skilled in time management

• Able to understand directions, ask questions, and follow-through on assignments

• Proficient in speaking and reading English

• Has the ability to bend, reach, lift and push up to 50 pounds

• Experience working effectively within a team

• Demonstrated ability to support the department and all co-workers; treats others with dignity and respect

• Consistent track record of speaking to others using clear, appropriate and professional language

• Exercises sound judgment, professionalism and a positive attitude

• Is proactive, intuitive and a self-starter; demonstrates initiative

• High School diploma preferred, but is not required
