The Sheltered Care setting serves those who are seeking healing of the beliefs associated with mental impositions. Thoughtful, gentle guidance and reminders for personal care, mobility, and communication needs are provided with respect and dignity in a secure setting. One-on-one activities to meet individual needs are planned, as well as group activities such as hymn sings and reading aloud together. This setting provides a homelike atmosphere where delicious meals are enjoyed together in the family-style dining room.

 

A private furnished room and bathroom are included, along with housekeeping and laundry service. Weekly hairdresser services, if desired, are billed separately.

 

Patients in Sheltered Care are required to have daily Christian Science treatment from a Christian Science practitioner of the patient’s choice currently listed in The Christian Science Journal. The Christian Science nursing department will assess individual care needs to determine care level.

 

All who stay with us in Sheltered Care are greeted and supported each day by the Christian Science nurses and staff with love and expectancy of healing, spiritual growth, and progress.

Support is provided for generally independent individuals. Occasional assistance with personal care, getting dressed, and mobility is available.

 

Sheltered Care 2

Support is provided to those needing more hands-on Christian Science nursing care with mobility, toileting, personal care, and getting dressed, or if more than one Christian Science nurse is needed to assist with proper care.
